“Pay my salary” – shouts Lady, exposing the alleged experience of working for a popular Nollywood actress
Nigerian lady called out the Nollywood actress on social media Funmi Awelewaalleging that she refused to pay her salary after working for her as a sales representative.
In a viral video circulating on the Internet, she claims that she accepted the job even though she graduated because of the country’s economic difficulties and limited employment opportunities.
“I’m just here to tell you to help me plead with Funmi Awelewa to pay my salary. I’m a graduate but there’s no job in the country. I even have a small business I’m doing for myself but it’s not going well so I accepted to be a sales representative,” she said.
According to her, she was often sent on errands that were not in line with her job description, including giving massages to the actress, shopping and looking at properties, while also doing personal errands for her.
The lady further stated that she sustained the injury while working at the actress shop and later claimed part of your salary to seek treatment.
“I’ve been working with you for 16 days. I’m not telling you to give me money. Give me half my salary and let me get treatment. But she replied that she’s not ready to pay me a penny and blocked me,” she stated.
She also claimed to have reported the matter to the police, adding that the actress allegedly refused the summons to appear.
As at the time of filing this report, Funmi Awelewa has not publicly responded to the allegations.
