Nigerians lament alleged network problems at INEC registration centre

Nigerians are expressing frustration over the delay in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) registration center, stating that persistent network issues prevented many people from completing theirs voter registration.

In a video circulating online, the man claimed that scores of would-be voters arrived at the center early in the morning but were unable to progress as officials allegedly informed them that the server was experiencing technical difficulties.

According to him, some people ended up leaving after waiting for hours without help.

He lamented that many citizens had taken time off work to register and asked why technical problems were occurring at a time when interest in voter registration seemed to be growing.

The man also revealed that he had visited the registration center several times without success, describing the experience as disheartening.

Another segment of the video also shows a lady complaining about a similar problem.

The man said…

“They tell us that the service is not working well. That the network is slow. People are leaving, people have been here since morning, there is no progress, nothing, nothing. The server is not working. Today is Monday and people have left their various jobs to come to this place only to be disappointed.

Nigerians are eager. Why are they telling us that the network is bad now that it is important to register to vote. Imagine the whole state thing.

People have been here since morning. It’s been twelve, but no progress. Since I haven’t eaten and this is the second time I come here.

Imagine on Monday morning young young people filling the INEC office just to register and frustrate people, telling them to go to another centre, that their network is bad. For the last 3 days I have been coming…”
