“Alex Ekubo shouldn’t have hidden his marriage” – Yul Edochie shares life advice

  • Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has shared his opinion on the privacy surrounding the late Alex Ekubo’s marriage, stating that the actor should not have hidden his wife from the public.
  • The actor said this while reacting to talks surrounding the circulation of photos and videos of Alex Ekubo’s wife after his death, which sparked a debate about privacy and public life.

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has commented on the ongoing conversation surrounding the late Alex Ekubo’s private marriage, saying the actor should not have kept his wife away from the public eye.

The actor shared his opinion while reacting to discussions on bloggers and social media users who circulated photos and videos of Alex Ekuba’s wife after his death.

According to Yul Edochie:

“He shouldn’t have hidden anything from anyone.

It wasn’t necessary.

People need to learn to stop caring about what people say.

No matter what you do in life, people need to talk.

So let them talk.

Leave blogs to blogs.

To be great in life, you must never feel small for any reason.

Give them things to talk about while you ignore them and enjoy your life.”

His comments came in response to a post by Nasiru, who wrote:

“Alex Ekubo kept his marriage off the vulture internet. Now that he’s gone, blogs are already digging up and posting his wife. But some of them are still saying they’re not gay. These blogs are vampires…”

Yul’s remarks have since sparked an online backlash, with many social media users debating whether public figures have a right to their families’ privacy, or whether such privacy is becoming difficult in the age of social media.
