Social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has reacted to the detention of activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyela Sowore, at the Kuje Correctional Centre.

In a post published online, the VDM criticized the Nigerian justice system, saying the circumstances surrounding Sowore’s detention raised concerns about fairness and due process.

According to him, the charges against Sowore were related to his comments about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and he questioned the court’s decision to revoke the activist’s bail.

“Omoyele Sowore is being held at Kuje Prison Center until Wednesday. All I can see here is corruption in Nigeria’s justice system. According to the charges he called President Tinubu na!ff and they asked him to prove it. He was in court but the court revoked his bail and said he was never in court even though there was video evidence.”

The remarks quickly sparked reactions on social media, with users expressing mixed opinions about Sowore’s case and VDM’s comments.
