APC singer Rarara chastises Davido for global campaign for abducted Oyo school children

Armored personnel carrier eulogy by Daud Kahutu Rarara criticized Afrobeats superstar Davido for his decision to draw attention to the plight of abducted school children and teachers from Oyo State during a major international event.
The controversy stems from David’s appearance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup countdown concert in Los Angeles, where he performed wearing a customized jacket with the names of the kidnapped students and teachers, along with the message “Bring them home.”
Dauda scolds David
Reacting in a video shared on social media, Rarara accused the singer of politicizing a sensitive security issue and bringing Nigeria’s internal challenges to a global audience.
According to him, publicizing the kidnapping crisis on an international platform could negatively affect the efforts of security agencies working to free the victims.
Speaking, he said…
“What Davido showed was gross behaviour. How can you go and expose Nigeria’s secrets to the world? Why will he give publicity to the rebels?”
Rebels kidnapped these students to force security operatives to release their men, and our government insists on not releasing them while trying to free the children. At this critical stage, he went to expose our security issue globally during the World Cup
Just because his uncle is running for re-election in the opposition party and Tinubu is in APC, he wrote the names of the kidnapped students and went to show them in America. What he did was like stripping his mother of her clothes and pictures and posting them publicly in the market
When you have a large following on social media and provide a platform for insurgent activities, it only makes things worse. If a small hijacker kidnaps someone and gets little attention, after a content creator with thousands of followers reposts it, bigger insurgents can get involved, making the situation worse.”
