Crystal Palace have appointed Pierre Sage as their new manager following Glasner’s departure



The Crystal Palace they confirmed the appointment of the French coach Pierre Sage as their new manager, with the former Lens boss signing a three-year contract that includes an option for an additional year.
The 47-year-old will officially take over on July 1, succeeding Oliver Glasner, who announced earlier this year that he would be leaving the club after a highly successful spell at Selhurst Park.
Sage comes after a successful Lens spell
Sage joins Palace after an impressive campaign with Lens, where he guided the French side to their first ever Coupe de France title and second place in Ligue 1.
Sage played 40 games at the club, recording 27 wins, five draws and eight losses. His achievements in France helped him become one of the most respected coaches in the country.


The appointment comes as Palace prepare for their first UEFA Europa League campaign, following a historic spell under Glasner.

Glasner leaves as one of the most successful managers in Crystal Palace’s history after guiding the Eagles to the club’s first major honours.
The Austrian guided Palace to FA Cup, Community Shield and UEFA Conference League victories, achievements that made him a popular figure among the fans.
