“Even if they save those kids, it won’t stop” – Tinubu backer says insecurity is beyond government’s control

Nigerian man shared his views on the ongoing insecurity in the country, expressing concern over what he described as a recurring pattern of kidnappings and unrest in different administrations.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), he noted that even if the abducted victims are rescued, similar incidents will continue unless deeper issues are addressed, comparing the situation to events recorded during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

“I’m not going to talk directly about the abduction of those children, but I’m noticing a pattern. Like it or not, even if they save those children, there will still be abduction,” he stated.

The commenter further suggested that insecurity in Nigeria appears to be a long-standing problemclaiming that it lasts regardless of who is in power.

He also addressed President Bola Tinubu’s earlier comments on alleged attempts to use insecurity to undermine his administration, saying he partially agreed with the perspective.

“So when Tinubu said they are trying to use the insecurity to push him out, I kind of agree with him. It means there is a certain person who is bigger than this country who is pushing all this,” he added.

His comments sparked debate online, with some Nigerians agreeing that insecurity has become systemic, while others dismissed his claims as conspiracy thinking.

These remarks add to the ongoing national conversation about insecurity in Nigeria and the search for long-term solutions to recurring incidents of violence.
