Fresh concerns have emerged over the death of the late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo after his family members said they were not properly informed of the circumstances of his death.
In a statement shared on social media by a family member identified as Davidekubo, Ekubo’s family claims several events leading up to the actor’s death remain unclear and no answer.
The press release states that the family was not notified when the actor died on May 11.
It was further alleged that the family member who officially received the body of Alexx Ekubo from the mortuary was not allowed to see the body.
The family is investigating the circumstances of the death
According to the statement, the family also disapproved of the decision to wear white during what appeared to be a ceremony celebrating the actor’s life.
The family described the 40-year-old actor’s death as sudden and said they are still seeking answers about how and why he died.
“With heavy pain, heaviness and sorrow; the family of Ikenne Alex Ekubo informs the public that the events leading to his death were unclear,” the statement read.
“The Ekubo family is yet to get answers as to how and why Alex suddenly passed away.”
The mother and brother have yet to receive official information
The statement further states that Alexx Ekuba’s biological mother and his only biological brother are yet to be officially informed of the circumstances of his death.
“@alexxekubo the only biological sibling @omaalex3 and biological mother alive and well have yet to be officially informed of the circumstances of Alex’s untimely and suspicious death,“, wrote a family member.
