Galatasaray ruled out selling Osimhen despite interest from the Spanish giants

Victor Osimhen future on Galatasaray looks increasingly certain after club president Dursun Özbek insisted the Turkish champions have no intention of selling the Nigerian striker despite increasing interest from Europe’s top clubs.
The Super Eagles striker has been linked with a move away from Istanbul in recent months, with Spanish giants Barcelona and Atletico Madrid reportedly monitoring his situation ahead of the summer transfer window.
Galatasaray is firm about the striker’s future
Osimhen has become one of Galatasaray’s most influential players since joining the Napoli club permanently last year after an initial loan spell.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a remarkable spell in Turkey, scoring 59 goals in 74 appearances and helping the club to two Turkish Super Lig titles and one Turkish Cup.

His performances have attracted the interest of several clubs across Europe, but Galatasaray have repeatedly claimed that the Nigerian international is not for sale.
Reports in Turkey claim that Atletico Madrid recently rejected a €120m offer. Özbek has now reinforced that position by suggesting that even a significantly higher offer would not change Galatasaray’s stance.
“We didn’t buy Osimhen to sell him. We have a footballer who gives great value to Galatasaray and loves Galatasaray very much,” Özbek said via Forza Cimbom.
“We want him to serve Galatasaray for many years. Osimhen is also very happy at Galatasaray.”
Barcelona and Atletico face failure
Galatasaray’s latest comments are a major blow to clubs hoping to secure Osimhen’s signature this summer.
Barcelona have been linked with the Nigerian as they continue to plan for the future without veteran striker Robert Lewandowski, while Atletico Madrid are believed to be looking for additional firepower in attack.
Head coach Okan Buruk also earlier rejected suggestions that Osimhen could leave.
Meanwhile, Osimhen remains focused on life in Istanbul, where he has quickly become a fan favorite.
