“He ate my jollof rice, slept with me, then blocked me” – Lady recounts a disappointing experience with an online crush

Nigerian lady shared her disappointment after she was allegedly blocked by a man she met through a mutual friend after spending her own money to visit him.

According to her, a friend posted her video on WhatsApp status and the man showed interest in her. She said she also found him attractive and was excited when they finally started talking.

Speaking in Yoruba, she said:

“My friend posted my video on her WhatsApp status and a guy saw it and told her he liked me. She sent me his picture and I liked him too because he was actually my crush.”

The lady explained that the man later invited her to his house but refused to send the fare, claiming some women collect money for transport and do not show up.

She revealed that she paid for the ticket herself and even bought him a lot of rice and chicken after he asked for it. According to her, she spent the night at his place and expected him to reimburse her expenses as he promised.

But when it was time for her to leave, he allegedly said he had no money because the client had yet to pay him.

“As soon as I got home, that guy blocked me everywhere. Imagine if I decided to swear at him now. After eating a lot of rice and chicken, and sleeping with me on top of that, he still blocked me,” she lamented.

The story has sparked mixed reactions online, with many advising people to be careful when meeting strangers and to avoid spending money on people they barely know.
