“I have not been arrested” – VDM rejects reports of arrests, promises that the protest movement will continue

Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as VeryDarkMan has denied reports circulating online that he was arrested during a protest in Abuja.

The activist made the clarification in a statement posted online after rumors surfaced claiming he had been taken into custody by security operatives.

“Now I see the news that I’ve been arrested, that’s not true, I’m alive and well and I’m back home: we can all go home now, we’ve passed today’s message and we’re off again tomorrow. We’re tired of bend!ts it£rr0r!st kp@!n us, that’s enough and we won’t be silent anymore”

He further stated:

“I have not been arrested. I just left the Karu Bridge in Abuja. Now we can all go home and some other day I will inform Nigerians about the next protest venue.”

His comments quickly sparked reactions from social media users, with opinions divided over the protests and his role in the movement.
