Social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has sparked reactions online after sharing his thoughts on an alleged interrogation tape involving officials said to be from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and a retired army officer accused of involvement in an alleged coup plot.

In a statement posted online, the VDM said it had viewed the entire interrogation tape and had more questions than answers about the case.

According to him, the interrogation process seemed flawed and could not identify any clear evidence presented against the suspect.

“I just came across this video of an alleged interrogation involving officials said to be from the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) and a 76-year-old suspect arrested in September 2025 for allegedly plotting a coup. After watching the entire video, I was left with more questions than answers. In my opinion, the interrogation process seemed to be. To be honest, I couldn’t see any clear evidence against the suspect, so I wondered if the authorities even had strong cases. If this is the quality of the investigation being conducted, then it seems to me that Major General Ibrahim is innocent based on what I have seen. Dedicated decades of detention under these circumstances do not seem fair.”
