According to the man, the groom shared his reasons for going ahead with the marriage during a discussion held the day before the ceremony.

Groom’s confession
Recounting the conversation, the man claimed that the groom admitted that there was no romantic love the primary reason behind his decision to marry his bride.
“My friend and his wife got married today here in Abuja. According to him, he told me yesterday that he is not marrying his wife because he really loves her, but because she is a good girl and a virgin. That she doesn’t have the body he likes in a woman.”
The remarks quickly sparked debate online, with some questioning the foundations of marriage and others noting that different people prioritize different qualities when choosing a spouse.

The man further claimed that the groom expressed concern about his ability to remain faithful in the marriage.
“He also said he knows he won’t be faithful to his wife, but he just wants to keep her because she’s good.”
