AND pastor sparked an online debate after sharing his views on marital finances, insisting that working wives should give their husbands access to their money.
In a viral video shared on TikTok, the priest claimed that many marriages face challenges because some wives keep their earnings completely separate from their husbands.
According to him, financial openness is important in marriageand husbands should not be treated as strangers when it comes to money matters.
“Any woman who works and earns money, your husband must have authority over your money. In fact, your ATM and PIN codes, your husband must know them. You will be the one giving him money, not your husband asking you to lend him money,” he said.
The pastor further stated that women who want lasting marriages should be ready to financially support their husbands and make available their resources within the home.
He added that a woman should use her income to honor her husband by buying him gifts and contributing to his comfort and well-being.
“If you go to work and come back with a salary, as a wife you should go shopping for your husband, buy him good shoes, clothes and watches. Use all your money to honor your husband and you will see that he will continue to support your growth.” he added.
His comments have since drawn mixed reactions online, with some people agreeing that marriage should include financial transparency, while others strongly opposed it.
