Nigerian woman living in UK breaks down in tears over job crisis, regrets her nationality

AND Nigerian A woman living in the United Kingdom has gone viral after sharing an emotional video in which she broke down in tears as she spoke about her struggles as immigrant.

The woman explained that she had moved from South Africa to UK four years ago in search of a better life and has since worked tirelessly, taking on various jobs, including cleaning and caregiving roles, to support herself and build stability.

According to her, she recently received the devastating news that her employer had lost her Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS), putting her job and immigration status at risk.

Expressing frustration and exhaustion, she recounted the sacrifices she had made over the years, stressing that she had consistently paid her bills and worked hard to remain self-sufficient.

Despite trying to stay strong and encourage colleagues facing similar challenges, she admitted the uncertainty surrounding her future has become overwhelming.

The woman also expressed fears about her options if she is unable to stay in the UK, saying she feels caught between returning to South Africa, where she believes Nigerians face hostility, and returning to Nigeria, where she worries about insecurity and economic hardship.

She partly regretted…

“I really never thought I’d see the day when I come online just to cry. I’m tired people, I’m really tired. I wonder what I would do in my life if I was punished for being a Nigerian. I don’t know what I’ve done in all my past lives to be punished. Being a Nigerian is hell. I left South Africa and moved here (UK) four years ago and I’m seriously working. God I don’t follow at all man. If a man gives me money, I try to live stable life, to tell me that they lost their COS. I even encouraged all my colleagues.

I’m just tired. I live in this country, I pay my bills, I don’t miss a single bill. I started from the ground up brother, I worked as a cleaner, I worked as a caregiver, I did everything to make sure I would succeed.

It’s ok to go back to South Africa now, even South Africans don’t want Nigerians. Okay, come back to Nigeria and you will get a keeleed…”
