Tragedy has struck the Nigerian culinary industry following the death of a food entrepreneur, Mary Osadebame Arokade.
A tribute to her has been published Instagram account announced her death, revealing that she died on June 6, 2025.

Although the circumstances of her death have not been announced, the late entrepreneur’s business will be temporarily suspended.
The tribute demanded privacy for the family of the deceased as they deal with the loss of a loved one.
In the conclusion, gratitude was expressed for the outpouring of support and condolences after the entrepreneur’s death.

In the meantime, updates on suspended business operations will be provided in due course and previously booked events will continue as scheduled.

It is worth noting that the Nigerian culinary industry has lost several members in the last few years including Chef Benedict Okuzu in 2022, Chef Ayoade Adedayo in 2023 and Chef Imotedo Aladekom in January 2024.
