“Layed flat on the ground and…” – A man recalls a heartbreaking encounter at the point of sale
The Senior Special Assistant on Media in the Delta State Government, Ossai Ovie Success, recounts an encounter with an elderly man at a point of sale.
In a Facebook post, Ossai shared that he was at the POS when an elderly man came to withdraw N1,000.
Man shares heartbreaking ordeal at POS stand
Meanwhile, the POS clerk was on the phone with the elderly man’s son, who immediately transferred the N1,000.
However, the server handed over ₦900 to the old man, leaving him despondent.
The old man expresses gratitude
According to Ossai, I was moved and jumped in and told the POS lady to give him ₦10,000.
Sharing what happened later, he stated“I jumped in and told the POS lady to give him ₦10,000, the old man laid flat on the ground and held my legs”.
