Mrs Maryam Ahmed Audiwife dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) died after a short illness.
According to family sources, Ms. Audi died on Monday, June 15, 2026. The deceased was known for her support of humanitarian causes and community development activities, earning accolades within and outside the security industry.
Senior government officials, security agencies, traditional rulers, acquaintances and well-wishers from across the country expressed their condolences after her death.
Many of her supporters characterized her as a devoted wife, caring mother and compassionate philanthropist whose benevolence touched many lives.
They prayed for her soul to rest in peace and prayed to God to give her family strength to accept the loss.
The family is expected to announce funeral plans in accordance with Islamic tradition.
Mrs. Audi is survived by her husband, children and other relatives.
