“Some OGs Don’t Deserve Respect” – Peller Hits Back at Ycee for Criticizing ‘Peller Culture’

Popular streamer and content creator Peller has fired back at rapper Ycee after the music star criticized what he described as the “Peller culture” in Nigeria.

Earlier, in a viral interview, Ycee lamented that Nigerian society no longer celebrates academic excellence, claiming that many young people now believe they can become successful by doing “stupid things” online because such content attracts views, engagement and money.

Reacting to the remarks, Peller was unimpressed by Ycee’s comments and questioned the rapper’s criticism of content creators.

“Some OG’s don’t deserve respect. This kind Ycee man, now see how the older man is talking. You people bring music promotion to so called olodo, on the same these people don’t promote and beg with small money,” he wrote.

Peller argued that many musicians who criticize online creators still rely on influencers and streamers to promote their songs and increase their visibility.

He further suggested that content creators have become an important part of the entertainment industry, helping artists reach a wider audience through social media platforms.

“Don’t give money online. When you don’t want to promote music, those same people still don’t run to meet,” he added.

The exchange sparked debate online, with some supporting Ycee’s concerns about education, while others supported Peller, insisting that content creation has become a legitimate career path.

The clash between the two entertainers continues to provoke reactions as fans question the growing influence of social media creators in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
