It is worth noting that the princess has been in hospital since December 2022 after collapsing from a heart problem while training her dogs.
Princess Bajrakitiyabha was a respected figure in Thailand, having served as the country’s ambassador to Austria and worked with the United Nations on issues related to women’s rights and crime prevention.
Let’s recall that severe floods devastated 12 southern provinces in Thailand at the end of November 2025 after heavy seasonal rainfall.
The disaster was caused by flash floods and mudslides that engulfed communities throughout the region. Hat Yai district was declared a disaster zone as water levels rose high enough to reach rooftops.
At least 33 people died in the floods, and the causes were drowning, flash flooding and electrocution. About 400,000 children were affected by the disaster, and officials confirmed that three children died.
