“You don’t please God to please people” – DeeOne harshly criticizes Yinka Alaseyori for her apology

Reality TV star and comedian DeeOne reacted to the gospel singer Yinka Alaseyori apologizing to Nigerians for the comments she made regarding insecurity and the government’s response to it.
Alaseyori faced criticism after he called on Nigerians to pray for President Bola Tinubu and security agencies, stating that the government is making efforts to address security challenges.
Her statements came amid public outrage over the kidnapping of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State. After the backlash, the singer released a video in which she apologized to Nigerians.
Reacting to the apology, DeeOne claimed that Alaseyori’s original comments were made out of sincere spiritual conviction and suggested that she only apologized due to public pressure.
He expressed disappointment that she retracted her stance, saying she had allowed public criticism to influence her response.
His words…
“Mrs. Yinka Alaseyori, first of all, I want to thank you and thank God for your service. God has used you a lot, but what you did today, please don’t ever try again. There is a way that seems right to man, but the end is destruction. You were in the spirit when you said those things that you said people should pray for. I want to believe that God spoke through you, but you lost the opportunity to evangelize the world.
“I can bet you 100% you didn’t seek God’s face before you made the apology video. Pressure makes you do it (apology), you apologize because people dragged you. Maybe you’re looking at not being invited to events or people not liking you. The Bible says I would look to the hills, where my help comes from. No, we all pull you and feed you. If you’re in doubt, you should go back to God on your knees and ask Mrs. You are a servant of God, not just an entertainer.
“Was what you said wrong? ‘No, but the pressure made you apologize. You have to anger God to please people, and there would be spiritual consequences. I hope you know that. Please don’t ever do that again under any circumstances. I don’t know who advised you, but whoever advised you did not give you good advice. Under no circumstances should you try this again. I’m sure the heavenly host will be so disappointed, but God is a forgiving father.
“I’m not trying to salute anyone here, but you see people like Testimony Jaga, they remind some of us of how the disciples follow Jesus. Jesus is not gentle o, He is harsh…”
