Social media activist VeryDarkMan has expressed concern over the reported disappearance of activist Livinus Nwosu, claiming he was allegedly abducted by armed men during a voter sensitization activity in Bayelsa State.
According to online reports, Nwosu was said to have been intercepted by masked men dressed in black while he was leading residents in efforts to obtain their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs).
His wife also said that she contacted VeryDarkMan and members of the Ratel movement after she was unable to find him or locate him.
Reacting to the situation, VeryDarkMan stated that the incident could be related to Nwosu’s ongoing voter education campaign, which was allegedly aimed at discouraging vote buying and promoting civic participation and voter registration in communities.
He further suggested that the development could be aimed at suppressing political awareness among the youth and hindering grassroots mobilization efforts.
The activist also stated that he would try to engage security agencies in Bayelsa State for clarification and also promised possible legal support if needed.
He used the incident to criticize President Bola Tinubu’s administration, arguing that more should be done to address pressing national issues.
At the time of the report, authorities have not issued any official statement confirming Nwosu’s whereabouts or the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident.
The situation remains unchecked and many Nigerians are calling on the relevant security agencies to provide clear information and ensure transparency.

“Livinus Nwosu was arrested by armed gunmen dressed in black. His wife just called me tonight. This is a move by President Tinubu’s government to silence the youths and stop the sensitization that is going on right now. They have seen that the youths are very active and the youths really want to get their PVC and are ready to vote. They are doing all this to scare the people and distract the people.
Livinus Nwosu was arrested in Bayelsa state. God so kind that this happened in public, he will go and meet the Bayelsa state police and we will send a lawyer there.
Like it or not, we will create this awareness. Gone are the days when you will just give people 5K Naira and a bag of rice to vote for you, no.
You have failed President Tinubu. You have failed to protect the lives of Nigerian citizens. You don’t deserve a second chance…”
