Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has sparked reactions online after she revealed that she destroyed the clothes she wore to late actor Alex Ekubo’s burial.
In her Instagram stories, the actress revealed that her godmother advised her not to keep the clothes she wears at the funeral ceremony.
According to Angela, she decided to take the advice and felt it was important to share the information with her family, friends and followers.
“These are the clothes I wore to Alex’s funeral. My godmother said it’s not good to have the clothes you wore to the funeral around; burn them,” she said.
The actress also shared a video showing her clothes as she prepared to get rid of them. She mentioned that the tip was something she only recently learned and wanted others to know.
Angela further prayed for long life and God’s protection over her loved ones while thinking about the loss of the late actor.
“So family and friends take note. I felt I should share this information. May the Lord keep us and bless us with long life. Amen. Chai,” she added.
Her revelation sparked mixed reactions online, with some social media users agreeing with the tradition and sharing similar experiences, while others questioned her purpose in sharing such information.
Alex Ekubo was laid to rest a few days ago after losing his battle with cancer and since then colleagues, friends and fans have continued to pay tribute to him by sharing tributes and reminiscing about the moments they spent with the late actor.
