“You could disappear” – Livinus Nwosu reveals alleged threat after DSS detention

  • Activist Livinus Nwosu spoke out after being released from custody.
  • He said he was given a stern warning while in custody.
  • His statement followed concerns raised by social media activist VeryDarkMan.

Activist Livinus Nwosu has broken his silence after he was allegedly released from detention, claiming he was given a stern warning while in custody.

His statement comes a day after social media activist VeryDarkMan raised concerns online, claiming that Nwosu was taken away by armed men for his involvement in PVC sensitization activities.

Speaking on the incident, Nwosu stated that a woman he met at the DSS office warned him of the risks of continuing his advocacy. According to him, she warned that future detention could result in his disappearance and suggested that his ongoing public education campaigns could cause serious consequences.

Nwosu, who has gained attention in recent months for promoting voter education and civic engagement, claimed the alleged warning was linked to his efforts to encourage citizens to participate in governance, understand national issues and participate in the electoral process.

He said in part…

“I met a woman in the DSS office and she told me that I would disappear if they elected me again, that if I continued to evangelize and show the public what was happening… that it would not be easy for me the second time…”
