“You’re a good customer, aren’t you” — Lady shares an encounter with a Hausa commercial motorcyclist

AND lady sparked reactions on social media after recounting an unexpected encounter with a commercial motorcyclist who refused to charge her for a ride after a recent trip.

According to her statement, she had been using the services of a rider for some time and often paid slightly more than the agreed price.

She explained that while a trip usually costs ₦500, she has occasionally paid ₦600 or even ₦700.

The woman said that she never attached any special meaning to additional payments and simply considered them a gesture of appreciation.

Meeting on a rainy day arouses curiosity

The incident happened shortly after the rainfall. The lady explained that the motorcyclist spotted her from a distance and immediately started cleaning the seat of the motorcycle before getting on board.

She noted that she was particularly impressed by the gesture, especially since it seemed to be done without a request.

After arriving at her destination, she tried to pay for the trip as usual.

At that point, the rider refused to accept the money as he said “No, you’re a good customer, no.”

Social media users react

The woman said the rider smiled before leaving the area, making her wonder if the gesture was simply a thank you for her patronage or something more.

She later shared the experience online, joking about the possibility of being drawn into an unexpected relationship.

The story quickly caught the attention of social media users, many of whom offered humorous interpretations of the encounter.

Others argued that the driver may simply have been expressing gratitude to a guest who kept paying more than the standard fare.
