Reno Omokri Reacts After Davido Called Him ‘Bingo’

Nigerian Ambassador to Mexico, Reno Omokrishe reacted after the Afrobeats star David he was mocked on social media for his explanation of why he had not yet resumed his diplomatic duties in Mexico.
The exchange started after Omokri in a recent interview stated that his delayed sequel was linked to the ongoing FIFA World Cup activities involving the United States and Mexico.
Following the remarks, Davido took to social media to mock the former presidential aide.
Responding on Instagram, Omokri shared screenshots of Davido’s post and described the singer’s comments as “feedback”, adding that he found the reaction surprising.
He further argued that David’s criticism may have been prompted by his earlier comments about the singer’s decision to wear a tailored jacket bearing the names of the kidnapped Oyo State schoolboys during their World Cup performance.
He said…
“Dear Mr. David Adeleke AKA Davido, Thank you for your feedback. I was quite surprised by your response to my post. The most shocking thing is your insult.
“You are an international celebrity that Nigeria is proud of. It should be beneath your dignity to insult me on my Instagram profile with such vulgar words. Yes, I am aware that you were upset by my appeal not to use an international platform, such as the 2026 FIFA World Cup, to give publicity to thugs and terrorists. I am also aware that Peter Obi praised you for this, which may have made you feel compelled to defend him.
I did this because although your intention may be good and you think you are putting pressure on the government, the real effect of what you have done is to give publicity to the terrorists and help them spread fear, recruit new members and raise funds.
Meanwhile, IShowSpeed American at the same event used the global stage of the World Cup to promote Nigeria by wearing the jersey and speaking well of Nigeria.”
