Nollywood actor Emmanuel Obasi, ex-husband of actress Judy Austin, has responded to Yul Edochie after the actor denied allegations that he interfered with his access to his children.
His reaction came shortly after Yul Edochie dismissed Obasi’s claims and advised him to resolve his family issues privately rather than discuss them publicly.
Yul claimed he was not preventing anyone from seeing his children, accusing Obasi of seeking attention online and using his name for publicity instead of addressing the issue head on. He also suggested that Obasi should speak to Judy Austin, noting that she was the appropriate person to contact on the issue.
In response, Obasi took to Facebook on June 19 to share his side of the story, insisting that he had been trying unsuccessfully to reconnect with his children.
He acknowledged the status of Yul Edochie but claimed that his efforts had been thwarted. “Chief Yul Edochie, one thing is for sure, Edochie is no doubt a big name outside Igbo land, but you cannot beat a child and ask him not to cry,” he wrote.
Obasi further claimed that he tried to reach out and issue warnings but was ignored, stating that Judy Austin had blocked all forms of communication. “My goal is not to make fun of anyone, I reached out and warned, but they ignored me. She blocked all my access to her,” he added.
He also expressed concern that his children are now adults and deserve to know the truth while they have the freedom to reach out to him.
“My children are grown up now, let her tell them the truth and let them reach out to me,” he stated.
Addressing Yulo Edochie directly, Obasi urged him to intervene and help mend the strained relationship between him and his children. “Chief Yul Edochie, if you are really in charge as the head of the house, help build that bridge,” he added.

@Rita Ogugua:”Mr Obasi as much as we support you, he has done a noble thing, he cannot force any of them to call you, approach them first, he also has his own problem to solve, try to build a relationship with your children, even if you go to court, you will be asked to reconcile first, may God give everyone understanding.”
