Man stranded after loaning friend ₦3 million to travel to Canada, father’s actions spark outrage

According to the man, he got the money from his wife because the friend was someone they both knew well.

He explained that after his friend arrived in Canada, he was informed that the money had been sent to his friend’s father with instructions to return it to him.

However, the deal reportedly took an unexpected turn when the man’s father refused to give the money.

The man claimed that the elderly man insisted that his son should be responsible for paying off the debt and used the money to buy a new motorcycle.

He said his efforts to recover the funds have so far been unsuccessful.

Recounting the event, he said:

“I loaned a friend ₦3 million to add proof of funds he needed to travel to Canada. I got the money from my wife, and since my friend is close, my wife knows him very well.”

He further stated:

“To make a long story short, Dad refused to give the money, saying that his son — my friend — should find a way to pay me back himself. Meanwhile, the man used the money to buy a brand new motorcycle.”

Speaking about his attempt to solve the problem, he added:

“I even called the man to explain how urgently I needed the money, but he simply hissed and hung up on me. Honestly, I’m so angry.”
