The woman sparked reactions on social media after speaking about her collapse marriagestating that her ex-husband ended up marrying her best friend.
In a viral video, The woman rejected claims that she simply left the marriage without any reason.
“It doesn’t even make sense for someone to say that she packed up and left just like that,“, she said, urging people not to draw conclusions about her separation.
The woman said she decided to leave everything in God’s hands after going through what she described as pain, abuse and disappointment.
“After all that, after the abuse, the pain and everything, the husband ended up marrying your best friend. What does that mean?” she asked.
According to her, the turn of events left her feeling betrayed by the two people she trusted the most.
“Me and my husband are gone, and two people you trusted ended up betraying you. They really disappointed me,” she said.
She also explained why she has remained largely silent about the situation, saying that her upbringing did not encourage public disclosure of private family matters.
“I’m not the kind of person who will just come and tell my side of the story. In our culture, we are not trained that way. We can’t just come and expose someone,” she stated.
The woman went on to address rumors circulating online that she was suffering from an infection, saying she knew nothing about the allegations.
Reflecting on the end of her marriage, she said both sides had their reasons for moving on and insisted that her ex-husband’s decision to marry her friend was his choice.
“There is another reason for me to leave and his own reason for marrying my friend. So it’s not a big deal. That’s what he decided to do,” she said.
Despite the painful experience, the woman said she decided to focus on her happiness and future.
“I choose my peace and happiness above all else, and thank God I live my better life,she said.
She concluded by expressing her hope that she would find love again in the future, adding: “I pray that next time, if I marry again, I will marry properly by the grace of Almighty Allah.”
