“If he asks you for money, he wants to marry you” – Lady shares bold advice for men in a relationship
Nigerian lady caused reactions online after she shared her opinion on what it means when a woman starts asking a man for money in a relationship.
According to her, many men often misunderstand such requests, but she believes that this is usually a sign that a woman is seriously thinking about a future with them.
Sharing her thoughts in a viral video on Xu (formerly Twitter), she said:
“Once a girl starts asking you for money, she plans to marry you. Yes, that’s a test. Give her that money. If you don’t have that money, go borrow it. That’s a test. She’s testing you.”
The lady insisted that men should not immediately see financial requirements as a red flag, claiming that some women use them to judge the willingness and ability of a person to provide support.
She further advised men who cannot meet such expectations to back off and let someone else who can.
“So when she starts asking for money, she plans to marry you. Marry her. Give her money. If she doesn’t have money, go borrow it. If you can’t borrow money, get out. Get out. So whoever can pay, go pay.” she added.
Her comments quickly drew mixed reactions online, with some agreeing that financial support is an important aspect of a serious relationship, while others argued that true love shouldn’t be measured in money.
