“Where did the N66m go?” – Stanley Ontop criticizes Mr. Ibu’s wife, defends the influence king Mitchy

  • Stanley Ontop has criticized Stella Marris, widow of actor John Okafor (Mr. Ibu), over her viral video.
  • In the video, Stella asked for financial help due to problems with rent, electricity bills and school fees.
  • She mentioned that financial difficulties caused her children not to attend school.

Nigerian movie producer Stanley Ontop has publicly criticized Stella Marris, widow of late Nollywood actor John Okafor popularly known as Mr Ibu, following her recent viral video with influencer King Mitchy.

In the video, Stella appealed for financial help, saying she was struggling to pay her children’s rent, electricity bills and school fees, which she claimed had forced them to drop out of school.

Reacting in an Instagram video shared on June 25, Stanley Ontop questioned why she sought public support just two years after her husband’s death. He further alleged that Mr. Ibu left about N66 million in his bank account and demanded answers on how the money was managed.

“How can you come out after two years since your husband died and you are asking people to give money for you? For what? That man died and left 66 million naira in his bank account. Where is the money?” he said, also referring to claims of funds collected during the burial.

Stanley went on to claim that substantial sums were collected and later withdrawn after the funeral, insisting that sympathizers contributed over N30 million.

“You kept that money until they finished the burial. You’re going to cash the money, maybe share it with your family and friends… Where’s the money?” he added.

He also accused Stella Okafor of selling several properties of Mr. Ibu, including plots of land in Asaba, properties in Enugu and a house in Lagos, claiming they were sold for millions of naira.

“You sold Mr. Ibu’s property… over 8 plots of land in Asaba for 16 million. You sold the property in Enugu for over 18 million. The house in Askamaya… you sold it for over 60 million naira. Where is the money?” he stated.

Stanley dismissed Stella’s claims of financial hardship, suggesting she was trying to pressure the public to donate more.

He, however, defended King Mitchy, praising her for her charitable efforts and stating that she has consistently helped vulnerable Nigerians.

“I don’t blame King Mitchy…she really helps a lot of Nigerians who need help,” he said, urging critics to stop attacking the influencer.
