Governor Alex Otti addressed the family of Alex Ekubo, promised support ahead of the burial

- Pastor Eno Jerry revealed that Governor Alex Otti personally addressed the wife and mother of Alex Ekubo after learning of the actor’s death.
- According to her, the governor also promised financial assistance, security support and repairs to the road leading to Arochukwu before the burial of the late actor.

New details have emerged on the support extended to the family of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo following his death, with Abia State Governor Alex Otti reportedly taking immediate steps to help the family.
Speaking on the actor’s song service, Pastor Eno Jerry revealed that Governor Otti was deeply shocked and saddened when news of Alex Ekubo’s death reached him and he immediately contacted family members.
According to her, one of the governor’s first actions was to personally call the actor’s wife and speak to his mother to offer condolences and support during the difficult period.
“When the news came to His Excellency’s attention, it greeted him with a lot of shock and sadness. As soon as he heard about Alex, he sprung into action.
“One of the first things he did was he called a woman. He called Alex Ekubo’s wife and also spoke to his mother,” Pastor Eno Jerry said.
She pointed out that the late actor remained deeply proud of his roots and consistently celebrated his culture and hometown.
“Alex Ekubo was one man who was very proud of his country and his culture. If you go to his Instagram page, you will see that the last post he made was about his culture.
“He actually said, ‘I love my culture,’ he rapped about his hometown, Arochukwu, and put it out there. That’s the last thing I think is on his Instagram page.
“It shows you how proud he was of his state. And as citizens of Abia State, we are very proud of Alex and proud of his achievements on earth.”
Pastor Eno Jerry further revealed that Governor Otti has promised to help the family by ensuring that the road leading to Arochukwu, the actor’s hometown, is motorable before his burial.
She also revealed that the governor has promised financial support and adequate security for family members, friends, colleagues and well-wishers who are expected to attend the burial ceremony.
“Another thing His Excellency did, apart from talking to the family, was to promise to help them fix the road leading to Alex’s hometown, at least make it passable even before the burial.
“He has also promised financial support and security for all those who will come for the burial in Arochukwu. And right now he is still willing to do much more if the need arises.”
