“I don’t know why God punished me by making me Nigerian” – Lady cries over struggles in UK

Nigerian lady who lives in the United Kingdom expressed deep frustration with her struggles abroad, describing her experience as one filled with hardship, discrimination and emotional pain from relocation.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she explained that her life in the UK was not easy, as she had to take on several tough jobs just to survive, while dealing with constant pressure and challenges to survive.
Lamenting her struggle, she said:
“I don’t know why God punished me by making me Nigerian. The worst thing that happened to me was being Nigerian. Ever since I moved to the UK, life has been extremely difficult.”
According to her, despite working multiple jobs jobs including cleaning and care jobsshe still has a hard time coping with everyday life, and adds that she faced harassment, insults, and even physical abuse.
She also stated that returning to Nigeria was not an option for her due to the insecurity and ongoing killings in the country, saying she felt stuck between two harsh realities.
“I worked as a cleaner, a nurse, cleaned up shit and did all kinds of jobs just to survive, but life is still a struggle. I was harassed, insulted and even slapped. At the same time, I don’t feel safe going back to Nigeria because of the killings and insecurity,” she said.
Her emotional outburst drew mixed reactions online, with some sympathizing with her struggles abroad while others criticized her harsh comments about Nigeria.
