Mabel Makun, ex-wife of comedian Aya Makun, has spoken after a period of silence and emotional withdrawal.
In a post she shared on her Instagram story after the burial of the late actor Alex Ekubo, she reflected on her calm state, noting that the deceased often encouraged her to keep things to herself and remain silent in certain situations.
She revealed that she has a lot on her mind and a lot she’d like to express, but isn’t sure where to start, which has contributed to her decision to remain reclusive.
Concluding her message, she said goodbye to the late actor and wished him a peaceful rest.
Her words…
“Never put a question mark where God has put a period.
Rest, one of the most caring people ever.
Mama Dee is always looking for God’s guidance and take care of yourself, no answer is needed.
Truth be told, I get an answer, but I don’t know where to start, hence the silence and withdrawal”.

In other news… The Oyo State government has intensified efforts to enforce its anti-open grazing regulations, with authorities seizing six cows found roaming freely in parts of Ibadan.
According to the Oyo State Law Enforcement Office (OYRLEA), the animals were seized during a routine monitoring exercise conducted around Old Ife Road, Alakia and Elebu Idi Ahun in Ido Local Government Area.
In a statement issued by the Chairman of the Board, Aderonke Aderemi, five cows were discovered grazing openly in areas where such activities are prohibited under the state’s livestock control laws.
The management said the animals were immediately impounded for violating the Oyo State Open Grazing and Livestock Management Regulations.
In a separate operation conducted on the same day, police officers responded to reports of cattle roaming along the busy Mokola Expressway in Ibadan.
Upon arrival, officers reportedly found three cows on the road, creating a potential hazard for motorists and residents.
“One cow was immediately confiscated, while the others ran away.”
According to OYRLEA, the enforcement is part of ongoing efforts to curb open grazing, promote public safety and prevent incidents that may disturb community peace.
The administration reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing livestock management regulations across the state, while ensuring environmental order and compliance with existing laws.
