“I think the government has forgotten about them” – VDM reacts to the video with the alleged kidnapping victims

- VeryDarkMan has reacted to a TikTok video allegedly posted by kidnappers showing people allegedly abducted from Arik, Kaduna State in April 2026.
- He claimed that the victims, including a nursing mother, were still in captivity and expressed fears that the authorities may have ignored their plight, although the claims in the video have not been independently verified.

Social media activist VeryDarkMan has sparked concern online after reacting to a video allegedly released by kidnappers showing people allegedly abducted in Kaduna State.
According to VeryDarkMan, the footage was uploaded to TikTok and appears to contain videos of kidnap victims still in captivity.
He claimed that the victims were allegedly abducted from Ariko, Kaduna State on April 5, 2026 and remain in the custody of their captors months after the incident.
Expressing concern over the situation, he suggested that the kidnappers may have released the video in response to reports that the government had paid a ransom to release the victims.
According to him:
“This video was uploaded on TikTok and I believe it was created by the kidnappers because all the videos there show kidnapped victims. According to them, they are angry after the Nigerian government claimed to have paid ₦1 billion along with 35 motorcycles, which they say is a lie. I think the government has already forgotten about these victims.”
VeryDarkMan further noted that among the people depicted in the video is allegedly a breastfeeding mother, describing the situation as heartbreaking.
