Bride a married lady shared an embarrassing experience after unknowingly serving spoiled food to her husband’s visiting friend from Canada.
The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, recounted the incident online while seeking advice on whether she should apologize and try to fix the situation.
The husband invited a friend from Canada
According to her, her husband he informed her that his best friend would be visiting Nigeria for an event in Abuja and planned to stay at their house for two days.
She explained that her husband had given her money to prepare a good meal for the visitor.
But she admitted that she kept the money instead of using it for cooking because she had asked her husband for money before, and he said he didn’t have any.
I serve leftover fried rice
The woman revealed that she had prepared fried rice about two nights ago and stored it in the freezer.
She added only half a kilogram of fresh meat, prepared it and reheated the rice before serving the guest.
Unfortunately, she later realized that the rice had gone bad.
The guest reacts after tasting the food
After serving the food to the guest, the visitor tasted it once and immediately stopped eating.
She was also tasted by her husband who reacted in the same way and dealt with her in front of the guest.
After the incident, the visitor reportedly asked to stay at a nearby hotel instead of staying at their home.
Husband discovered hidden help in visa processing
She revealed that her husband later discovered that the same friend had been helping them process plans to move to Canada through school.
The discovery shocked her as she claimed she was unaware.
Recounting the event, she wrote:
“Please post n hide my ID. I would like to ask the house about something that happened on Tuesday. My husband told me that his best friend is coming to Nigeria from Canada for an event here in Abuja and he wanted him to stay at our house for two days. I agreed. He gave me money to cook something delicious for them to eat but I took the money and kept it because I asked for money before, he said no. I had fried rice that I made like Two days ago in the evening i took it out of the freezer and put it in the microwave. my husband was like what happened and he tasted it and he was really slimy and yelling at me what did i do with the food he gave me o. I explain to him that it was the one I kept in the freezer three nights ago, he started shouting to give me about 60,000 naira to cook something and I explained to him that I had rice just 2 nights ago and I told him to calm down to eat but his friend told me not to worry that he was fine. The friend who was supposed to stay at our house but because of the incident told my husband that he should take him to a nearby hotel so that he would like to stay he could eat the food and not bother me. did he even say this same guy is helping us with the visa to Canada? I yelled because I was chasing my helper but I didn’t know they had plans and it could happen to anyone. Should I call my friend to apologize after what hubby said?
