“Why did you leave without cooking?”— Husband reacted after asking for 50-50 bills, wife’s experience

AND woman has sparked debate online after sharing how she reacted when her husband allegedly demanded they start splitting household expenses equally.

The woman, whose account has been shared on social media, said her husband woke her up at around 3am to inform her that he wanted a 50-50 marriage arrangement because he was tired of handling the family bills alone.

According to her, she did not oppose the proposal and instead decided to adjust her daily routine in accordance with the new arrangement.

A change in routine follows a request

The woman explained that she usually wakes up by 5 am to get the children ready for school and prepare breakfast for the family before going to work.

However, the day after the interview, she stayed in bed until 7 a.m. before getting ready and going to work, leaving the children in the care of her husband.

She said her phone started ringing after she left home while her husband was trying to get the children ready for school.

Recounting the event, she said:

“My husband woke me up around 3:00 one early morning and said he wanted 50-50, that he was tired of sorting out the bills, so he wanted us to start splitting the bills.“

The woman further stated that her husband sent her several messages asking why she left without him prepare breakfast or take care of the children.

Answering him, she explained that she needed to focus on earning enough money to contribute to the new financial arrangement.
