Ruger returns to music after legal battle with ex-girlfriend

Afrobeats singer Ruger has announced his return to music after a legal dispute with his former partner reportedly kept him away from releasing new projects for some time.
The development was confirmed on Wednesday by his record label, Blown Boy Entertainment, which revealed the singer had been dealing with personal challenges related to a lawsuit filed by a former partner.
Legal dispute resolved
According to the label, the case affected the singer’s activities and contributed to his prolonged absence from the music scene.
In a press release addressing the fans, the management explained the circumstances of the break.
“We know it’s been a while since Ruger dropped new music. For a while, Ruger was caught up in a series of personal challenges after someone he dated decided to sue him for alleged ’emotional distress’ and ‘damages.’
The label noted that the legal matter has now been resolved, allowing the singer to fully focus on his career and upcoming projects.
“That chapter is behind him now. A new chapter begins. A new energy is emerging.”
Summer tour plans unveiled
Blown Boy Entertainment also revealed that Ruger is working on new material and is preparing for a number of international performances.

“Ruger is back to what he loves most – making music. And I believe best, he cooked”.
The label thanked the fans who remained loyal during the period of silence and announced that the singer will perform in Belgium, Malaga, Bali, Malawi and the United States this summer.
“We would like to sincerely thank everyone who remained patient and continued to support Ruger throughout the silence. Your loyalty and faith meant everything.”
The announcement sparked discussion among fans online, with many expressing excitement for Ruger’s return and anticipation of new music after months of uncertainty surrounding his career.
