“I cried for my children, not for my wife” – Judy Austin’s ex-husband addresses critics over viral video

Mr. Emmanuel Obasi, ex-husband of Nollywood actress Judy Austinhe responded to critics who questioned his emotional moment talking about children.
In a video circulating online, he explained that his tears were not for his ex-wife, but for his struggle to maintain a relationship with his children.
“I want to be clear, I’m not crying for a wife. I have a wife. I’m crying for my children, who I did my best to be in a relationship with.” he said.
Emmanuel further expressed his disappointment that some people focused on his tissue instead of the message behind his emotional breakdown.
He wondered why some Nigerians were more interested in criticizing his reaction than understanding the pain of a father trying to reconnect with his children.
“Nigerian men should be very careful. Imagine your colleague comes out crying because he went to see his children and you people are looking at my handkerchief. What about my handkerchief with what I am crying about?” he added.
His statement comes after a recent podcast appearance, where he made several claims about his ex-wife and her alleged affair with Yul Edochie, during which he also burst into tears in a viral video that sparked a backlash online.
Emmanuel Obasi continues to maintain that his focus is on his children and his desire to build a stronger relationship with them, urging the public to look beyond the criticism and understand his pain as a father.
