“We are ready to go into the bush” – VeryDarkMan tells Governor Makinde about rescuing kidnapped Oyo school children

Social media critic Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkManhe invited the governor of Oyo State Seyi Makinde to take immediate action regarding the reported abduction of school children in the state.

Speaking during an organized protest at the Oyo State Government House, the activist expressed concern over the safety of the victims, warning of delays in rescue efforts could make the situation worse.

Addressing the governor, he said:

“Mr. Gov, if you wait for the perfect time to go rescue those children, they will keep them there for a long time and even marry them off to other kidnappers.”

VDM stated that many Nigerians, including Ratels members, are willing to support efforts to bring children home, even if such operations carry risks.

He also noted that criminals often take advantage when authorities do not react decisively.

“We’re ready to go into the wilderness with you today or tomorrow, and we know there’s going to be collateral damage and we’re ready for it.

I have studied these bandits for so long that I realized that if they push and you don’t fight back, they will see it as weakness and start demanding levies from the farmers of Oyo State,” he added.

His comments sparked debate online, with some Nigerians agreeing with his call for immediate action, others arguing that security operations require careful planning to avoid putting new lives at risk.

VeryDarkMan’s remarks come amid mounting public pressure on the authorities to intensify efforts to secure the release of kidnapped victims and address insecurity across the country.
